The Weight Loss Program of Andrea Bocelli

If you're not familiar with Andrea Bocelli, you might have seen her on television and not known who she is or what she does. But if you're a fan of music, you may well have heard of her and maybe even purchased some of her music or albums. Her career began in 1980 when she was hired byrhythm guitarist John Butler, who was at the time very famous but not well liked. He had created many hit songs but not a single one that he could claim to be his own.

To help get his career back on track, Butler offered Bocelli a role as a singer and although she didn't realize it at the time, this would prove to be a huge step towards success for both the artist and manager. Bocelli proved to be an immediate success and not long after she began performing regularly at live performance, she began to receive record deals from both Virgin and E! Records. She also signed deals with Island and Jive but quickly decided that she preferred to focus her energy on singing instead of recording.

With the success of her first two albums, the Italian Job and The Stepford Wives, and a string of duomo cathedral albums including Stuck In The Middle With You, Andrea Bocelli finally began a twelve-year period as a leading singer and actress that would see her win Grammys and have numerous other awards including the Best Female Solo Performance. This is a common practice in which well-known performers sign contracts with record labels in order to allow them to promote an album or song throughout their careers and these contracts often last for several years. However, in 2010, Andrea Bocelli decided to pursue a part-time acting career and leave the weight loss and music career that had made her the name in the entertainment world.

Now, she's back with a new album entitled Escape, due out in September. But even though she's not performing live, you can still catch the full album's first live performance on YouTube. The concert was held at London's Exmouth Studios on March 4th, 2010 and was attended by special guests such as U2's Bono and Madonna as well as several other well-known stars.

During her performance, Andrea Bocelli discussed her weight loss efforts with Live Style's Matt Parkinson and also mentioned that she planned to start taking supplements in order to help lose some weight. When asked if she would be taking diet pills during her Exmouth appearance, Bocelli said "I'm not going to lie to you, man...I don't do it. I mean, my personal life is hard enough as it is, let me add some more to it." She went on to say that she would like to get healthier and lose some weight, but that she hasn't yet found the right plan to do it with. However, she did say that she has found some great plans online and shared some of them on her live stream.

As it turns out, one of the reasons why she isn't performing live is because she is in New York and can't travel to London to perform. On her live stream, she promised that once she got into her new weight loss program, she would definitely be back on tour. She did say, however, that she had lost a few pounds prior to her departure for good. Bocelli recently celebrated New Year's with a much healthier lifestyle and according to sources, she plans to keep it that way for 2011 as well. It's possible that her weight loss plan influenced the decision to not go on tour this year but it would certainly make for interesting fodder for any gossip columns.

During her appearance on Live Stream, Bocelli mentioned that while she isn't going to be performing live, she will be making music and possibly releasing an album. The live stream reveal that the album will be titled, "Life Is All We Have." We already know that the last album by Lady GaGa featured top artists such as Rihanna and Kanye West, so this could very well be an official singles release. In any event, we will likely be getting some great music and we can only hope that it lives up to the stellar quality of the already successful albums that come before it.

Hopefully, Andrea Bocelli will continue to lead the way for other celebrities who have been unfortunate enough to experience severe weight loss. While she has had her personal struggles with weight loss, she is one celebrity who has faced the public's scrutiny and did her best to be proactive about her health and her body. Hopefully we will all continue to see great weight loss success stories like hers and learn from people like her.
